Your stress feels overwhelming and exhausting.

You struggle to keep up with a high-demand, fast-paced schedule. You are constantly doing things, but you feel like you never make progress on your never-ending to do list.

You leave work feeling exhausted, just to go home and jump right into housework. You feel like you barely have time to eat and sleep, let alone do something you enjoy.

When you finally do have free time, you watch TV or scroll through social media because you don’t have energy to do anything else. You feel like you can’t be present with your loved ones.

You may find yourself engaging in unhealthy behaviors as a way to cope such as:

  • Binge eating or eating too much junk food
  • Procrastinating
  • Smoking
  • Drinking alcohol
  • Shopping excessively
  • Doom scrolling on social media
  • Biting your nails or picking at your skin
  • Working too much

While some stress is normal and helpful, chronic high levels of stress can be harmful to both your physical and mental health. Signs of excessive stress include:

  • Feeling overwhelmed, depressed, or anxious
  • Feeling burned out, disconnected, or unmotivated
  • Poor sleep
  • Fatigue
  • Irritable or short-tempered
  • Muscle tension or pain
  • Difficulty with concentration, attention, and memory
  • Digestive issues
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Difficulty making decisions

Manage stress and live a balanced life

When stress gets overwhelming, it can be hard to work through it alone and break out of the cycle of stress. I can help you identify the things that are making your stress worse and work with you to reduce and change those factors so that you can find space in your life again.

You can be more present and have enjoyment in life. You can break unhealthy habits and create habits that help you feel good. You can find work life balance and spend quality time with the people who matter most to you.

Effective Treatment for Stress

Evidence-based therapy tailored to fit you.

Stress can show up in diverse ways. The cause of stress and how the stress is affecting you are essential components for understanding how to effectively treat it.

During intake, I will gain a deeper understanding of these components and we will collaboritively decide on the treatment that fits you best. Treatments may include changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors or changing your relationship to your thoughts and circumstances to reduce suffering. Treatments may also include mindfulness and acceptance-based work.
